ARTS is known for its imaginative and authentic documentation of the many ethnic communities of lower Manhattan, through projects such as the Trictionary and Waves: People and Culture on the Lower East Side. These unique projects involved young people in research about their own community and, through publication and exhibition, created a means of sharing this priceless information with others across the United States.
